What is Breast Lift Surgery?

Breast Lift Surgery at Southern Surgical Arts is unique in several ways. Dr. Nease's technique for lifting the breast typically results in a very youthful, perky breast and adds fullness to the upper area of the breast while minimizing scarring. Often a small lolipop style scar is adequate to achieve natural, full breasts, even when a full lift is needed. A mini lift is also possible with a small scar around the areola (nipple) only, and may be combined in a new technique in which Smartlipo laser technology is added to the procedure. This creates more lift, more skin firming and allows for even smaller scars with improved results.

These procedures are typically performed in an outpatient setting with IV sedation or general anesthesia. Recovery is usually no more than a few days, with return to normal activity in a week. Dr. Nease offers an artistic approach to cosmetic breast procedures and is skilled in creating a more full, natural, youthful appearing breast.

What is the Cost of Breast Lift Surgery in Chattanooga and North Georgia?

The regular price of Breast Lift Surgery at Southern Surgical Arts begins at $6,600. Your quote will include the surgeon's fee, anesthesia costs and the facility fee for the operating room and all other suppies and implants when indicated. The total price at Southern Surgical Arts also includes all routine follow visits and pre-op lab work.

Some surgery centers bundle the price of the procedure into one total fee like we do at Southern Surgical Arts and others may only quote you their surgeon's fee so that their prices seem less. We will give you the total surgery price.

Types of Breast Lifts Performed at Southern Surgical Arts.

Southern Surgical Arts uses different types of techniques tailored to you for breast lifts to minimize scars and maximize result. The type of breast lift for you is determined in the consultation with the doctor and is based on your anatomy, your desired outcome and the size and shape of the breast. Dr. Nease and Dr. Deal perform three types of breast lifts, a Benelli lift (donut lift), a Lollipop lift, and an Anchor lift.

Benelli Lift (Donut Lift)

A Benelli lift (donut lift) if for patients who have mild to moderate sagging. It is a mini type of breast lift where the nipple is shifted up a few centimeters. The incision for a Benelli lift is made all around the areola, in which a donut shape piece of tissue is taken away and the tissue is then re-sutured to the edges of the areola. The remaining skin is then tightened as the incision is closed. A “purse string” stitch is placed around the circumference of the skin, around the areola. This is done to prevent spreading of the scar and allows for it to heal nicely. This lift will help those patients who have larger areolas and want to reduce the size. Also, the Benelli lift is best suited for a breast augmentation when a nipple lift is needed simultaneously.

Lollipop Lift

Southern Surgical Arts most popular breast lift performed is a lollipop loft. This type of lift is for patients who have a moderate to significant amount of sagging of the breast, or want a breast augmentation with a lot of lift. The lollipop lift offers the longest lasting results and most preferred by our physicians. The procedure requires two incisions- one around the areola and one down the lower midline of the breast. These two incisions come together to form a lollipop shape. Where many surgeons will recommend the larger scars of the anchor lift, Dr. Nease and Dr. Deal can offer the lollipop lift to the vast majority of our patients due to using highly specialized techniques.

Anchor Lift

An anchor lift is the type of breast lift performed to treat a patient with severe breast sagging and by doing so, removes a greater amount of skin. This type of lift is needed when the nipple is well below the breast crease. When using this technique, the surgeon makes a circular incision around the areola, a vertical incision towards the underside of the breast, and a curved incision along the breast crease, all forming an anchor shape. An anchor lift may also be suitable for women when a major breast reduction is needed.
