Every now and then, an innovation comes along in aesthetic surgery that is truly revolutionary. Fat removal is a common request here at Southern Surgical Arts, one we hear many times a day, every day. And we have a variety of treatment options available to achieve this. BodyTite is highly effective at removing fat…but this is not the amazing thing about BodyTite.
Excess skin is another problem that patients frequently want to be addressed. When a patient has excess skin that has lost its elasticity, we have a few options. We can cut it out, as with a tummy tuck, but this process leaves obvious scarring. Some scars, such as with thigh lifts and arm lifts, cannot be hidden, making this an imperfect option in many cases.

BodyTite works by delivering radiofrequency energy via an internal cannula. This heats and liquefies the internal fat, which is immediately removed. Meanwhile, the skin is also heated externally, resulting in skin contraction and tightening. Because BodyTite is minimally-invasive, patients will only have a few tiny scars that will be virtually invisible. Side effects include mild bruising and tenderness, and patients will be able to return to normal activities immediately. There are simply no other procedures that can provide you with these dramatic results with such little downtime and tiny, virtually invisible scars.
Treatment areas for BodyTite include the abdomen, flanks, hips, thighs, arms, buttocks, and neck. BodyTite can also be used to treat stubborn fat pockets and loose skin above the knees and elbows.
