Face Fall with Rejuvenated Skin!

Summer’s almost over and it’s time to put your best face forward for fall! Even when we try to be careful with our skin, consistently reapplying our sunscreen, wearing hats and seeking out shady spots, it’s hard to maintain constant vigilance. Skin gets exposed through our sun roofs, through the windows of our cars, after some time in the pool or at the beach, or even after sweating while gardening a bit too long.

All of these little bursts of exposure can add up to a big toll on your skin. Luckily, there are several things you can do to brighten up your skin, fade sun spots, and maintain a glow even when your sun-kissed look starts to fade and spots and fine lines become more obvious. Keep reading for some treatments we recommend to fall in love with your skin again!

Treat brown sun spots with an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photofacial to fade them back into non-existence. Over a course of a few treatments (the number of which will be determined by your aesthetician), pulses of light will target these melanin deposits until they gradually disappear. Your aesthetician may also recommend a laser treatment or chemical peel to achieve the best results. Best of all, no downtime!

Fine lines and wrinkles can be plumped up with fillers such as Juvederm, and forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and frown lines can be targeted with Botox, which will relax the lines and restore your skin to a smooth and youthful appearance.

If your skin looks dull after several months of exposure to sun, chlorine, salt, or hot, windy, dehydrating weather, you might want to consider a hybrid fractional laser treatment such as the Halo laser. A treatment using the Halo laser can help to erase surface and sub-surface skin damage, leaving your skin looking radiant. They don’t call it the “Halo glow” for nothing!

You can also combat dullness and sun spots with a chemical peel customized especially for your skin’s unique needs. Your aesthetician will create a peel with chemicals specifically chosen to brighten, lighten, and smooth your trouble spots. Just be aware that, depending on the strength of the chemicals and the depth of the peel, some downtime may be necessary.
