About Neuromodulators and BOTOX®

BOTOX® is an FDA-approved neuromodulator derived from botulinum toxin type A. Preparation for BOTOX® Treatment

Minimal prep is needed, but we recommend:

One Week Before: Avoid blood thinners and high-dose vitamin E.
Two Days Before: Reduce alcohol intake and pause NSAIDs like ibuprofen.
Day Of: Arrive with a clean face. If you’re prone to bruising, consider applying arnica the day before.

The BOTOX® Procedure

Injections are performed in a private treatment room with a fine-tipped needle and steady, practiced hands. You may feel a quick pinch or momentary pressure. Most patients describe the experience as brief and easily tolerable. The entire process takes under 20 minutes, and you'll receive a cold pack and after-care tips before leaving.

Recovery After Your BOTOX® Treatment

You can return to most activities right away, but we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and laying flat for four hours. Minor swelling or redness at injection sites typically fades within 30 minutes. Refrain from rubbing the treated area to prevent product migration. Results begin to appear in a few days and peak by week one.

BOTOX® Results

You’ll notice smoother skin and a more rested look within 3–7 days, with results lasting 3 to 4 months. Regular treatments help “train” muscles over time, allowing for longer-lasting results with smaller doses. Many patients schedule BOTOX® quarterly to maintain a consistent, refreshed appearance.
