Lip Augmentation

A lip flip is a quick neuromodulator procedure—usually performed with micro-doses of BOTOX® or Xeomin®—that relaxes the orbicularis oris muscle around the mouth. When this ring muscle contracts strongly, it can curl the upper lip inward, making it appear thinner or exposing more gum when you smile. By strategically weakening the vertical pull at just four to six points along the vermilion border, we allow the pink portion of the upper lip to evert slightly outward.

Unlike fillers, no volume is added; instead, the existing tissue fans out, creating the illusion of a fuller lip and concealing excess gum. The injection process takes less than ten minutes, and because dosing is conservative—usually fewer than eight units—speech, eating, and natural expression remain unaffected. Full flip effects appear within one to two weeks and last about three months, making it a perfect test drive for patients curious about lip augmentation but hesitant to commit to fillers right away.
