Dr. Deal holds certification from the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS), the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), and the American Board of Surgery (ABS). With more than 4,800 major procedures performed, his expertise spans the full spectrum of body contouring, facial rejuvenation, and aesthetic restoration.

He has led cadaver-based surgical workshops and served as lab director for national hands-on trainings, where he teaches innovative techniques to cosmetic surgeons from around the world.

National Educator and Examiner

Dr. Deal is on the faculty of Southern Surgical Arts’ American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Fellowship Program, and trains talented surgeons from around the country every year. The surgeons who finish the fellowship program are eligible to become certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Deal is an ABCS Board examiner and is on the Written Exam Committee. In addition, he serves on the AACS Fellowship Committee, which focuses on establishing educational criteria for AACS Fellowships. He is also an active member of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.
