Chances are you’ve heard of Microneedling—it’s currently one of the hottest skin treatments available because it can make a variety of skin issues look significantly improved in just a few treatments. Microneedling is an excellent treatment to promote cellular regeneration. Thousands of micro-channels are made in the skin via a “skin pen” device, promoting the growth of new cells and causing the skin to
become plumper, firmer, smoother, and more youthful in appearance.
Microneedling can be done any time of the year regardless of sun exposure. There is minimal downtime,with patients only experiencing a few hours of redness. Microneedling with radio frequency, or INFINI, uses a radio frequency emitted from the needles to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production and healing process. Because the heat from the radio frequency is emitted into the deeper layers of the skin, called the dermis, the skin undergoes a process called neocollagenesis (new collagen production). By carefully and precisely causing a controlled injury, the body goes into repair mode and generates new collagen to replace the old collagen. This causes skin contraction and thus, better-looking skin.
INFINI is an ideal treatment for sagging skin and scars. Patients with various types of acne scars usually see a significant improvement after just one treatment.
